The love of arts is eclipsed by the seduction of place…

I have written extensively, in the Denmark page, about the Danish architectural firm Henning Larsen Architects.  The Copenhagen-based firm’s collaboration with Danish / Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson effectively answers this question with HARPA, a concert hall and conference center located in Reykjavik’s north harbor.  This being Reykjavik, this is no mere cultural institution, outside of our collective grasp.  The building itself is a beautifully realized gem and gift to the city, constructed of multi-faceted glass plates which are illuminated at night.
