On Christmas morning we, like so many other locals, made a pilgrimage to Spread Bagelry. Although it was warm outside, nothing feels better in the morning than a hot cup of coffee and a warm bagel. En route, we passed Cook, the cooking / kitchen lab nearby. Although it was closed, we couldn’t help but be impressed with the kitchen-classroom as we looked in their windows. Owner Audrey Claire Taichman’s vision of bringing together chefs, cooking techniques that are approachable, and those who choose to elevate their culinary skills easily won us over. We decided to check their schedule before we traveled to the City of Brotherly Love again so we could enroll in a class or participate in a menu tasting.
