The land of fire & ice…

Iceland is a new page summarizing information on cafes, hotels, restaurants and travel that previously appeared in the separate sections, Guys Stuck in Iceland, Jökulsárlón and Reykjavík.  The goal is to make information as user-friendly as possible and by combining content and photography, we achieve just that.  In the coming months, we’ll be traveling back to the Land of Fire & Ice, specifically to the country’s ice caves, Dettifoss Waterfalls, Snæfellsjökull and Vatnajökull National Park, and the updated content will be even easier to read and enjoy.

“In this land of fire and ice, the horizon is split.
What hovers above is the shimmer of silver.  What lies below is the blindness of white.
And what surrounds us is this enduring mystery.
These Mountains of the Moon.”

  • David, When I was a child, my mother and I ‘traveled’ by spinning our globe and my stopping it randomly with my finger. She would then read about the country from her atlas. Your posts remind me of this. They are better because of your first hand comments and of course, pictures. Thanks
