Making an architectural statement before one even enters its galleries, the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), or Musée des beaux-arts de l’Ontario, is one of the largest in North America.  Formerly a random selection of gallery spaces, resulting from half a dozen expansions with no clear architectural or design focus, the Gallery hired none other than Frank Gehry to unify the museum, transform her exhibitions and give it groundbreaking but understated new exteriors.  Named Transformation AGO, the effort succeeded…
