Vienna

Introduction.  Vienna, one of Europe’s greater cultural centers, may have a long, rich history but it’s also earned a reputation for hipness with the Hotel Daniel, a modern and ingeniously designed property near the city center.

“Books are the plane, and the train, and the road.  They are the destination, and the journey.  They are home.” ― Anna Quindlen,

Hotel Daniel-01

The rooms are comfortable, sleek, minimalist and are characterized by the showers which, in some room configurations, are located near the sleeping areas and enclosed by glass…certainly not intended for the shy or bashful. All rooms feature flat screen TVS, free WLAN / WiFi and rain-style shower heads. There are five different room configurations offered :

Smart proves you don’t have to spend a great deal of money for comfort and style.  Taking a cue from Scandinavia’s penchant for sleek efficiency, the Smart rooms are well designed and more importantly, affordable.

Panorama rooms are priced at a point higher than Smart’s but offer incredible views of the city.

Hammock is similarly priced like Panorama but feature, well, hammocks. If you think it’s a silly idea, it’s because you haven’t relaxed in one of Daniel’s after enjoying a shower while on view.

Belvedere is more spacious than the other configurations and as one would expect, more expensive.  The larger rooms feature great views, however.

Trailer sends Daniel’s coolness factor into the stratosphere.  The sleek and silver Air Stream, located on site, has been fitted with environmental systems, WiFi, comfortable beds, a bathtub, and an ultra modern double-sinked changing area.  Most surprising of all is the price, i.e., about US$ 150.00 / night.
